How do I apply?
Download and print the HUD Application (for public housing) and, if you're applying for Piper Apartments, the Piper Application as well. Complete both forms in full, sign them, and bring them to our office at 200 SE Ave A, Hamlin, TX 79520 during business hours.
Is there an application fee?
Yes. A $15 non-refundable application fee is required for each adult household member (18 or older) to cover processing costs.
What are your office hours?
Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We are closed on Fridays.
How much does Piper Apartments cost?
1-bedroom units are $505/month (including a $5 mow fee) with a $250 security deposit. 2-bedroom units are $605/month (including a $5 mow fee) with a $300 security deposit. Tenants pay all utilities: water, electric, and gas.
What is the rent for the Public Housing Program?
Rent is based on 30% of the household's adjusted gross income, making it affordable for qualified low-income residents.
